Head coach of Nigeria Daniel Ogunmodede has vowed to challenge for the 2025 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) title.
Nigeria returns to the CHAN tournament for the first time in six years, edging out West Africa neighbors 3-1 on aggregate.
Speaking to the media, Ogunmodede asserted his outfit gave Nigerians a good gift for this yuletide period and has therefore vowed to battle for the ultimate.
“We are happy to have given Nigerians a good gift for this yuletide period, but we will not over-celebrate this achievement and forget the crux of the matter”
“We will work hard so that we can contend very well for the trophy at the finals in February,” Daniel Ogunmodede told Media.
Ghana edged out Nigeria on penalties two years ago to secure a spot in the last edition but failed this time.
The CHAN tournament will be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from February 1-28, 2025.
