Captain of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, Ashley Plumptre has extended his stay with Saudi Arabia outfit, Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
The enterprising defender penned a two-year contract renewal with the Saudi Women’s Premier League outfit, keeping her at the club until 2027.
Ashley Plumptre joined Al-Ittihad from Leicester City in the summer of 2023 and has since established herself as an integral member of the team.
The 26-year-old delivered an outstanding performance in her first season (2023/24) after racking up eight goals for the club.
Currently, the highly-rated defender has managed two goals for Al-Ittihad, the last of which was against Al-Amal, contributing to her outfits’ victory (3-0), in the 14th week of the league.
Al-Ittihad currently occupies seventh place in the standings with 18 points.
Ashley Plumptre played a huge role when Nigeria secured qualification to the 2024 Olympic Games, held in Paris-France.
Unfortunately, the defender missed the Games due to an injury setback.
