The first batch of the Nigeria contingent has arrived in Kigali ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
Nigeria prepares for two crucial matches this month. The Super Eagles will face Rwanda on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe on March 25.
Currently sitting fifth in Group C, Nigeria trails Rwanda, South Africa, Benin Republic, and Lesotho.
The Super Eagles has only managed draws against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and South Africa before suffering a disappointing 2-1 loss to Benin.
With only the top team earning automatic qualification, Nigeria must deliver results quickly to revive qualification hopes.
The technical of Nigeria led by coach Eric Chelle has already arrived in Kigali for the decisive match. The team’s training camp officially opens on Monday as preparations intensify for the showdown at Amahoro Stadium this Friday.
The rest of the Sudanese contingent are expected to join camp later on Monday.
