Nigeria international Moses Simon has stated that while he remains content at FC Nantes, he would be open to a move if the right opportunity arises.
The 29-year-old winger, who has been a consistent performer in Ligue 1, is reportedly attracting interest from several clubs, including Premier League side Everton, as well as Olympique Marseille and newly promoted Paris FC.
Despite the growing speculation, Simon maintains his commitment to Nantes, a club he says has supported him both professionally and personally.
Speaking to SportsBoom.com, Simon expressed gratitude for the loyalty shown to him by the club during challenging periods, particularly when he suffered injuries.
“A club that respects you, that shows you love, of course you have to respect them and fight for them in return,” he said.
“Nantes respect me a lot especially when I was injured; they were always there for me alongside their supporters.”
Simon, who joined the French club in 2019 and has since become a mainstay in their attacking setup, stopped short of closing the door on a possible exit, noting that he remains open to a fresh challenge should the circumstances be right.
“I have a lot of love and respect for the club, but like any player, I’m always open to new challenges in life,” he added.
He also made it clear that any move away from the Stade de la Beaujoire would have to be sanctioned by the club.
“If I receive an offer and Nantes agree to it, I would definitely consider making a move. However, if the club decides not to accept any offers, I will fully respect my contract because I am still their player.”
Simon’s current deal with Nantes runs until 2026.
