Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson says the challenge of performing under pressure is what drives him at Chelsea.
The 23-year-old striker, who joined the Blues on 30 June 2023 for a reported £32 million on an eight-year deal, admits he enjoys the intense demands from supporters.
“The fans and the atmosphere, the pressure to win games and everything, I like that,” Jackson told Sky Sports. “It’s important for them to win, when you win, so it’s good. I like the pressure because it makes you want to work hard and want to win games for the team. So yeah, it feels good.”
Jackson made his debut on 13 August 2023 in a 1–1 draw against Liverpool and netted his first goal on 25 August in a 3–0 win over Luton Town.
Since then, his Chelsea journey has been a mix of highs and setbacks. A serious injury sidelined him for months, and he has yet to score in 2025. Still, Jackson remains focused and motivated, using the pressure as fuel for his return to top form.
