Nicolas Jackson keeps Bayern Munich dream alive
Nicolas Jackson is determined to make his Bayern Munich loan count, even as his minutes on the pitch decrease and his future remains uncertain.
The Chelsea forward still hopes to stay in Munich beyond this season, despite no longer being able to trigger the obligation-to-buy clause in his deal after falling short of the agreed playing-time threshold.
Since returning from AFCON, Jackson has not started a single Bundesliga match, a frustrating spell for a player eager to prove himself at the top level. Yet Bayern have not completely shut the door, with Vincent Kompany reportedly assuring him he will still have a part to play in the run‑in, even if the club has not made up its mind about a permanent transfer.
If Bayern ultimately pass on him, a straightforward return to Chelsea also looks unlikely after the London club added three players to their attacking options last year. Interest from Milan and earlier links with Aston Villa could offer escape routes, though Villa’s recent move for Tammy Abraham may reduce their need for another central striker.
