Nicolas Jackson handed two-match Bundesliga ban after red card against Leverkusen

Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson will miss the next two matches for Bayern Munich after receiving a red card during the club’s Bundesliga clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

The AFCON 2025 winner was sent off late in the first half of Sunday’s encounter following a reckless challenge on Leverkusen forward Martin Terrier, forcing him to leave the pitch before the interval.

The punishment has now been confirmed by the German Football Association, whose sports court ruled that Jackson would serve a two-match suspension in the Bundesliga for the dangerous foul. The decision, announced on Monday, is final.

As a result, Bayern will be without the striker for their Matchday 27 home fixture against Union Berlin on March 21, as well as the Matchday 28 away match against SC Freiburg scheduled for April 4.
