Al-Ahli join race for Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson

Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli have entered the race to sign Senegal international Nicolas Jackson, adding further uncertainty to the striker’s future as several clubs across Europe and the Middle East monitor his situation.

Jackson, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, is not expected to remain in Germany beyond the end of the season.

The Bundesliga side have decided against activating their €65 million purchase option, reportedly due to concerns over conditions linked to his playing time.

As a result, the 24-year-old is set to return to Chelsea, where he remains under contract until 2033.

However, his long-term future at Stamford Bridge has yet to be decided, with the club understood to be weighing up several options ahead of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are said to value the forward at around €70 million and are considering a range of possibilities, including a permanent sale or another loan move with an obligation to buy. No final decision has been made at this stage.

The uncertainty has attracted interest from a number of clubs. Juventus, AC Milan, Newcastle United and Fenerbahçe are all reported to be monitoring developments, although no formal offers have yet been submitted.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, Al-Ahli have now joined the list of potential suitors and have identified Jackson as a key target for the upcoming transfer window.

The Saudi Pro League club are believed to have the financial capacity to meet Chelsea’s valuation should they decide to pursue a permanent deal.

Al-Ahli’s interest reflects the growing competition for the striker, who has experience in La Liga with Villarreal and has also established himself as a Senegal international, having been part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations.

With multiple clubs now tracking his situation, Jackson’s next move remains open, and much will depend on Chelsea’s final stance and whether the player is willing to consider a switch to Saudi Arabia as he approaches his mid-twenties.

For now, his future remains unresolved, with the summer window expected to bring renewed negotiations and potential offers.
