François-Régis Mughe, despite his limited playing time at Olympique de Marseille, has declined the opportunity to represent Cameroon in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.

The Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecofa) officially announced the substitution, and the chosen successor is none other than Nicolas Brice Moumi Ngamaleu, a seasoned player with Dynamo Moscow at 29 years of age.
Ngamaleu, known for his prowess as a right winger, is set to join the national squad on the morning of Friday, January 5.
Despite his absence from the initial list presented by Song, Ngamaleu boasts an impressive track record with 50 caps and 3 goals for the national team.
