N’Golo Kante is close to completing a transfer to Fenerbahce in a high-profile swap deal that will also see Youssef En Nesyri join Al Ittihad.
The 34-year-old French midfielder, currently playing for the Saudi Pro League champions, is expected to finalize his switch to the Turkish giants in the coming hours, provided no late complications emerge.
Kante, who left Chelsea for Al Ittihad in 2023, has already agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce and is understood to have successfully passed his medical earlier this year.
In the opposite direction, Moroccan striker En Nesyri has terminated his contract with Fenerbahce and is set to sign for Al Ittihad, completing the player exchange between the two clubs.
The move would give Fenerbahce a hugely experienced midfield anchor with Champions League and World Cup pedigree, while Al Ittihad add a proven goalscorer to lead their attack.
Both transfers come in the final days of the winter market, adding extra tension to the negotiations as paperwork and registration must be completed before the deadline.
