NEWELL’S: HEINZE ANNOUNCES HIS RETIREMENT

Heinze
Gabriel Heinze, the former player of Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, has announced his decision to retire from professional football at the end of the season due to ongoing back problems.

In a press release, the Argentine defender expressed his disappointment, stating, “Unfortunately, I cannot fight against the reality of a body which offers me a match which I cannot win.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Heinze achieved significant success, winning several major titles. He secured a Premier League title with Manchester United in 2007 and a La Liga title with Real Madrid in 2008. In Ligue 1, he clinched the league title with Marseille in 2010 and won two League Cups with the club in 2010 and 2011. Additionally, he won a Coupe de France with Paris Saint-Germain in 2004.

Heinze’s retirement marks the end of an era for the accomplished defender, whose contributions to various clubs across Europe have left a lasting legacy.
