Chelsea consider offloading Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson before window closes

Premier League outfit Newcastle United are now considering a move for Senegal international Nicolas Jackson in the current transfer window.

Having missed out on Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United, the Magpies are said to be considering a strong move for Jackson, who has fallen down the pecking at Chelsea.

Jackson joined Chelsea in 2023 from Spanish side Villarreal for an impressive €37 million. Since joining the Blues, Jackson has played 81 matches, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists.

Last season, the attacker made 37 appearances but found the net just 13 times, raising questions about his future with the club.

The former Villarreal attacker risk losing his position at the club following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

However, Newcastle United, who are planning for life after Swedish-Eritrean forward Alexander Isak, has shifted their attention to Jackson.

With the new season fast approaching, the Magpies are expected to bid for the services of Jackson.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are holding on to about 80 million pounds for the transfer of the Senegal international.
