Newcastle’s Papiss Cissé is facing scrutiny from his manager, Alan Pardrew, after a disappointing season with the Magpies. Despite his past success, Cissé has struggled to find his form this season, scoring only one penalty goal in the Premier League.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Pardrew issued an ultimatum to Cissé, stating that the striker needs to have a strong second half of the season to secure his future at Newcastle. Pardrew emphasized that Cissé must demonstrate his ability to perform at the level he did two years ago if he wishes to remain with the club.
Despite rumors linking Cissé to other clubs such as Trabzonspor, Mönchengladbach, Fenerbahçe, Rubin Kazan, and Besiktas during the winter transfer window, he ultimately stayed at Newcastle. However, his long-term future at the club remains uncertain, with Pardrew suggesting that a decision will be made based on Cissé’s performance in the coming months.
