Papiss Cissé, facing stiff competition for a spot in Newcastle’s attack, is now on the verge of a potential loan move to Besiktas. According to the Daily Mail, negotiations for a loan until the end of the season are in progress between the Magpies and the Turkish club. Besiktas is reportedly prepared to pay a substantial sum of £7.5 million (over €9 million) to secure the services of the 28-year-old Senegalese striker if the transfer goes through. It’s worth noting that Newcastle recently turned down a significant offer from Qatar for Cissé’s services. Once an undisputed starter alongside Demba Bâ, Cissé has found himself mostly on the bench this season, with Loïc Rémy excelling in the striking role for Newcastle.
