South African giants Orlando Pirates is likely to agree a new deal with their influential forward Monnapule Saleng despite recent contract issues.
The 27-year-old has not featured for Orlando Pirates in the past four months as talk continues for contract renewal.
Africasoccer.com initially reported that contract renewal talks between both parties has stalled due to the player’s salary demands, which Pirates have yet to accept.
According to latest reports, the enterprising forward could continue his trade with Orlando Pirates if contract extension brouhaha are resolved.
Meanwhile, the club has yet to comment about the future of the South Africa international.
Since joining the club in 2021, Saleng has established himself as a key cog to Orlando Pirates.
Africasoccer.com understands that three unnamed clubs are eager to secure the services of the talented South African forward in the summer window.
The 27-year-old attacker has made just 13 appearances across competitions this season for Pirates, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
He made his debut for the South African national team in June 2021 and has since made 10 appearances without scoring or registering an assist.
