Azedine Doukha, the former international goalkeeper, has characterized the task of the new Algerian national team coach, Vladimir Petkovic, in leading the Greens to the World Cup as “manageable.”
Speaking as a guest on the “Al-Nahar” channel’s Q&A segment on Sunday, Azedine Doukha stated, “We cannot exclude all the players from the national team, as it would be a big mistake.
I don’t think Coach Petkovic will exclude Slimani, Belaili, and Bounedjah, especially in the attack, because the options are limited.”
Doukha added, “There will be a revolution in the lineup, but it will be done intelligently.
He will have a big task in defense.”
The former goalkeeper for the CR Belouizdad team remarked, “It’s a new experience for a new coach who may not know Africa well.
There are coaches like him who have had good experiences and have qualified for the final stages.
What works in our favor is that we are leading the group; we only need a few points to qualify for the World Cup.”
Doukha, hailing from the city of Chlef, concluded, “Positions will be highly valued in the national team, and this is a beautiful thing for the national team.”
