Nelson Ralenkoane joins Marumo Gallants after Orlando Pirates exit

Nelson Ralenkoane has completed a move to Marumo Gallants after leaving Orlando Pirates’ development structure, giving the Betway Premiership club another defensive option.

The former Orlando Pirates defender has agreed to join Bahlabane Ba Ntwa as he begins a new chapter in his career. His arrival adds depth to Marumo Gallants’ defensive department and provides him with another opportunity to compete at the highest level of South African football.

Ralenkoane recently parted ways with Pele Pele, Orlando Pirates’ ABC Motsepe League side, bringing to an end his time within the Soweto giants’ development structure. Following that departure, he became a free agent and was able to consider the next step in his career.

The move to Marumo Gallants represents a fresh opportunity for the defender, who will be looking to re-establish himself in the professional game. He spent time with Orlando Pirates’ development set-up and also gained first-team experience during a loan spell at Orbit College.

That spell provided Ralenkoane with valuable exposure to senior football before he returned to the wider Pirates structure. Now, his switch to Marumo Gallants offers him the chance to build on that experience and demonstrate his ability in a new environment.

Ralenkoane will be hoping to make a strong impression under newly appointed head coach Phuti Mohafe. The defender’s immediate task will be to establish himself within the squad and earn a regular role as he competes for a place in the team.

For Marumo Gallants, the signing strengthens their options at the back while giving Ralenkoane the opportunity to continue his development after becoming available as a free agent. The club will expect the former Pirates player to bring the benefit of his experience from both the development structure and his loan spell at Orbit College.

The transfer also marks a return to senior opportunities for Ralenkoane after his departure from Pele Pele. Having previously been part of the Orlando Pirates set-up, he now has the chance to show his qualities with Marumo Gallants and work towards becoming an important defender for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa.
