Nassim Chadli has completed a loan move from Al-Ain to UAE Pro League rivals FC Baniyas, strengthening the Abu Dhabi club’s attacking options for the remainder of the season. The Moroccan-French right winger joins Baniyas on a temporary deal classified as a loan transfer, with his switch officially starting on 2026-02-04 and scheduled to run until 2026-06-30, when he is due to return to Al-Ain at the end of the loan.
The 24-year-old, currently valued at €500k, arrives from fellow UAE Pro League side Al-Ain, where he had been on the books following a permanent transfer from Wydad Casablanca. His move to Baniyas keeps him in the United Arab Emirates’ top flight and maintains his trajectory as an overseas professional rather than returning to his countries of nationality, Morocco and France.
This latest switch continues a busy recent period in Chadli’s career. Before joining Al-Ain, he had a brief spell back in Morocco with Wydad Casablanca, having joined them from French side Le Havre AC. That stay in Casablanca was followed by a loan spell to Al-Jazira Club in the UAE Pro League, from which he returned to Wydad before Al-Ain secured his services on a standard transfer. Now, Baniyas become the latest stop in a journey that has taken him through multiple leagues and clubs.
Chadli’s development pathway began in France, moving through the youth ranks at FC Bagnols Pont and Nîmes Olympique (U17, U19 and B team) before earning a move to ESTAC Troyes. From there he was loaned to Belgian side Lommel SK, gaining experience in another European environment, and later transferred to Le Havre AC in France’s system. A loan spell at US Concarneau further broadened his exposure before his move to North Africa with Wydad.
Primarily deployed as an attacking right winger, Chadli is left-footed and stands 1.81 m tall, giving Baniyas a wide forward who can cut inside and operate between the lines. His market value has fluctuated between €250k and €700k over the years, peaking during his time at US Concarneau and stabilising around the €500k mark in his more recent stints at Al-Jazira and Al-Ain.
The loan agreement’s end date of 2026-06-30, combined with no stated long-term contract details at Baniyas beyond the loan period, means his medium-term club future remains open once he returns to Al-Ain. Depending on decisions taken by his parent club and any subsequent negotiations, the timeline could place him in a position where a further move, or even a future as a free agent, becomes possible after his loan concludes.
By joining Baniyas, Chadli continues to build his profile away from his birth country of France and his other home nation, Morocco, extending his experience in the UAE Pro League. The coming months at Baniyas will help shape the next phase of his career and may prove decisive in determining both his long-term destination and how clubs in the region and beyond assess a winger whose career has already spanned multiple countries and competitive environments.
