Napoli interested in signing German international of Nigerian descent Karim Adeyemi

Serie A side Napoli have initiated discussions with Borussia Dortmund regarding a potential transfer for winger Karim Adeyemi during the January transfer window, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The move to sign the German international of Nigerian descent comes as part of Napoli’s strategy to strengthen their squad following the recent sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG earlier this month.

While negotiations are ongoing, Napoli has also been in talks with Manchester United concerning Alejandro Garnacho.

However, as of now, no agreement has been reached after Napoli’s initial offer was declined. The club is clearly eager to secure a new attacking option before the transfer window closes.

Adeyemi has had a solid season so far with Dortmund, contributing five goals and five assists in 13 matches. Despite his pace, he has faced scrutiny regarding his overall scoring ability.

As Napoli aims to bolster their attacking lineup, the outcome of these negotiations could significantly impact their title chances in the ongoing season.

The club’s efforts underscore their commitment to maintaining competitiveness in both domestic and European competitions.
