Italian Serie A giants SSC Napoli are reportedly not considering selling Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa amid multiple interest from clubs in Turkey.

Following Victor Osimhen’s blockbuster move to Galatasaray, Turkish clubs have turned their attention to Anguissa, who has become a top target for Istanbul rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.

The 29-year-old midfielder recently grabbed headlines after scoring the winning goal in Napoli’s 3-1 victory over Inter at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, further raising his stock.

According to reports from Gazzetta.it, Anguissa, who is under contract with Napoli until 2027, is not fully satisfied with his current salary, reported to be just over €3 million per year. Negotiations over a contract renewal have been ongoing for months, but have yet to reach an agreement.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Napoli view the Cameroonian as a vital part of manager Antonio Conte’s long-term project. Conte reportedly considers Anguissa irreplaceable due to the balance, physicality, and dynamism he brings to the midfield.

However, Turkish powerhouses are prepared to test Napoli’s resolve. Fenerbahçe, under new president Sadettin Saran, who has injected fresh financial backing into the club following a rise in television revenue, is said to be making a strong push and is willing to offer Anguissa a significantly higher salary, along with a starring role in the Turkish Super Lig.

With Anguissa set to turn 30 in November, Napoli face a key decision on whether to extend his contract or consider cashing in.

The club is expected to lose the player in December during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
