Napoli concerned with Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s fresh injury while with Cameroon

Napoli are monitoring Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s fitness after the midfielder was forced to leave training while on international duty with Cameroon.

Reports suggest Anguissa sustained a muscular injury during a particularly intense session with the national team, the same session that also saw striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting go down.

The injury could sideline him for several weeks.

As of Wednesday, Anguissa has yet to undergo a formal medical assessment, which is expected in the coming hours.

While the full severity of the problem remains unclear, he is likely to miss Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier against DR Congo on Thursday and could be a doubt for Napoli’s Serie A clash with Atalanta on November 22.
