Serge Gakpé, the Togolese international, has confirmed that he will remain with Nantes until the end of the season. Despite being linked with a move to West Ham during the winter transfer window, Gakpé expressed his satisfaction with his current club, the Canaries, in a post on his Facebook wall.
“I am under contract until 2015 and I feel good in Nantes,” wrote the striker. “For the moment, I have not had an extension from the leaders. For now, I’m fine here.”
While Gakpé admitted his admiration for the English Premier League, he did not specify any particular club he dreams of playing for.
“I continue to work and the future will tell us what will happen, but I really like the English championship.”
At 26 years old, Gakpé, who was trained at Monaco, has previously had a spell at Standard de Liège in Belgium on a 6-month loan.
