Nadhir Benbouali officially joins Pyramids FC from ETO Győr
Algeria international Nadhir Benbouali has officially joined Egyptian club Pyramids FC after completing his move from Hungarian side ETO FC Győr.
The transfer brings an end to Benbouali’s time in Hungary following a highly productive campaign, during which the 26-year-old striker established himself as an important attacking player.
His move to Pyramids FC had been expected in recent days, with the Egyptian club now confirming the deal.
Pyramids FC announced the signing through a video published on its official social media accounts, introducing the Algerian forward to their supporters.
“The Algerian warrior has arrived at the foot of the pyramids. Ahmed Nadhir Benbouali joins Pyramids,” the club wrote to accompany his presentation.
Benbouali arrives from ETO FC Győr, where he remained under contract before completing his move to Egypt. According to the latest reports from the Egyptian press, Pyramids FC have paid $2m for the striker, with a further $500,000 potentially available in bonuses.
The Algerian is also reported to have agreed a four-year contract with his new club, keeping him at Pyramids FC until June 2030.
His arrival follows a standout season in Hungary. Benbouali scored 19 goals and supplied six assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for ETO FC Győr, numbers which helped underline his importance in the team’s attacking play.
His form also earned him international recognition and a place in Algeria’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. Benbouali subsequently made his mark on the global stage by scoring against Jordan.
The striker found the net with a header as Algeria secured a 2-1 victory, adding an important international moment to what had already been a productive campaign at club level.
Now, after his successful spell in Hungary and his appearance at the World Cup, Benbouali begins a new chapter in Egypt.
Pyramids FC have secured the services of a forward arriving with confidence, recent goalscoring form and international experience. The four-year agreement also gives the Algerian the opportunity to establish himself at the Egyptian club over the long term.
