Morocco attacker Brahim Diaz is targeting to become a regular starter at Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso.
The former Manchester City youngster struggled for game time under former coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Ahead of the new season, Diaz has stressed that he will be satisfied with nothing less than a place in the starting lineup under coach Xabi Alonso.
“I know Rodrygo is a great player and very important to the team, and we are happy to have him, but I always have the ambition to succeed here,” Diaz said, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
“I’m achieving success now, but my goal is to be a regular starter. We have the best players in the world, and the competition is fierce, but I’m ready to give everything I have to secure my place.”
He also spoke about the strength of Real Madrid’s midfield, stressing: “We all have great quality and will help the team win titles. What’s always important is teamwork and serving the team.”
Regarding Kylian Mbappé, Ibrahim expressed optimism about the French star’s presence in the royal dressing room, saying, “His influence on the group is clear. He’s a great player, and his presence gives us a huge boost.”
Brahim Diaz will hope to feature tomorrow when Real Madrid face RB Salzburg at the Lincoln Financial Field in their final group game in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup.
