Wydad Casablanca coach Rulani Mokwena says he is future is in the hands of the president of the club, Hicham Ait Mena.
The South African trainer who is expected to leave the club made this remark after being held to a 1-1 draw against Olympique d’Asifi in the 27th round of the Moroccan League.
Wydad is third in the Moroccan league standings with 45 points, six points behind runner-up FAR Rabat, with three rounds remaining.
“My fate is in the hands of club president Hicham Ait Mena. I understand the fans’ anger and frustration after the result of the Safi match,” Mokwena said.
“Third place wasn’t our goal, but given the circumstances we’ve been through, it’s still somewhat acceptable,” he added.
“I’ll accept any decision regarding my future, and whatever the decisions are, I’ll always love Wydad because this club has made me so attached to it.”
“We’ve dropped a lot of points recently. Our situation could have been better. I can’t explain some of the results because we deserved to win some of them,” he added.
As revealed earlier, Mokwena, who signed a three year deal with the Moroccan side will take home $1million.
