Morocco international Achraf Hakimi has revealed that asking his parents not to work anymore is his biggest achievement in his life.
Speaking to Vogue Arabia, the PSG defender said, “As they say, there’s nothing greater than a mother. Everything I am today is because of her. She taught me values, respect and the principles I live by every day. She’s the foundation of my life, and I owe her everything. My love and admiration for her are endless.”
While Hakimi has made significant strides in his career as a professional footballer, his biggest achievement is something more personal.
He revealed that his most proud of the moment he told his parents they no longer had to work.
“My greatest accomplishment, beyond the titles and personal achievements, was being able to tell my parents they no longer had to work. That moment meant everything to me—to show them their sacrifices paid off and that I could support them while pursuing my passion. That’s my most meaningful achievement of all,” Hakimi said.
The player showed deep gratitude toward his family and the sacrifices they made for him to become the person he is today.
Hakimi has been impressive for PSG in the ongoing season, scoring four goals in 19 appearances for the side. He is expected to be in action when they host Liverpool on Tuesday in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.
