Egyptian forward Mustafa Mohamed showed his admiration for Zamalek captain Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” after his stunning goal against Modern Sport in the Egypt Cup on Friday night.
Shikabala inspired Zamalek to a 2-1 victory in the Round of 16, securing a place in the quarter-finals, where they will face Smouha next Friday.
To celebrate the veteran playmaker’s impact, Mohamed shared a video of Shikabala’s goal on his Instagram account, adding a crown emoji to highlight his status as a club icon.
Mohamed, who once played alongside Shikabala at Zamalek before moving to Europe, enjoyed watching his former teammate shine once again.
The Nantes striker began his European journey with Turkish giants Galatasaray before making the switch to France with Nantes. Despite his career abroad, his connection to Zamalek remains strong, as shown by his tribute to Shikabala’s performance.
