Moussa Sidibé: Persebaya eye move for Bhayangkara Mali winger amid contract uncertainty

Mali right winger Moussa Sidibé of Bhayangkara FC is being linked with a switch to Liga 1 rivals Persebaya Surabaya, with the 31-year-old’s contractual situation fuelling talk he could become a free agent.

Sidibé, born in Bamako and listed at 1.70m, is valued at €275k on Transfermarkt, a figure seen as attractive in the Indonesian market as Persebaya explore wide attacking options. The move remains at rumour stage, with the reported probability of a deal marked only as “?”, and there is no confirmed transfer fee or agreement between the clubs.

The Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC winger, who wears number 17 and operates primarily on the right flank despite being left-footed, has no recorded contract expiry date with Bhayangkara. That has prompted speculation he could negotiate a departure on a free transfer if his deal is close to, or has quietly, run down.

Recent league action has kept Sidibé firmly in the shop window. In Bhayangkara’s latest Liga 1 fixture – a tense Super League encounter earlier this month – he featured off the right in a narrow defeat, offering his usual direct running and left‑footed delivery despite his side’s struggles in front of goal. While there is no official breakdown of goals and assists from that match, his inclusion underlined his continued importance to Bhayangkara’s attacking structure.

Sidibé holds only Malian nationality and is listed in an attacking role for Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC, having built a career as a winger capable of stretching defences and cutting inside onto his stronger foot. A move to Persebaya, should it progress beyond speculation, would keep him in Indonesia’s top flight while offering a fresh platform at 31 to extend his peak years and add a new chapter to his reputation in Southeast Asian football.
