Turki Al-Sheikh, the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, has unveiled numerous surprises for the Ahly and Zamalek final match of the Egyptian Cup, to be held in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking through On Time Sport channel, Turki stated, “We have reached an agreement with the United Sports Company that the match broadcast will be a joint effort between us.”
He further elaborated, “The match will be covered by 44 cameras, including 28 inside the stadium, and there will be a Spanish-American production team, which previously directed the FIFA World Cup final.”
Continuing, he said, “We offered Ahly and Zamalek to place cameras on the substitute benches, and the final decision will be left to the two teams.”
“In just one minute, all tickets for the final match were sold out, with a waiting list of over 30,000 fans,” he revealed.
Turki emphasized, “There are many surprises in store for both the fans present in the stadium and those watching behind the screens.”
He disclosed, “Before the match, there will be a ceremony featuring a major star, along with grand celebrations with the winning team after the match.”
The head of the Entertainment Authority concluded, “An analytical studio will be set up before the match, 3 or 4 hours prior, hosted by Ibrahim Fayek and Walid Al-Faraj, with José Mourinho joining them.”
Additionally, the loser of the Egyptian Cup final match will receive an additional $150,000 from the Saudi Entertainment Authority.
It’s worth noting that the Egyptian Cup final match will take place on March 8, 2024, at the Al-Oul Park Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
