Mouloudia Alger president defends Belaili and calls for his protection
Hakim Haj Rejem, President of the Board of Directors of Mouloudia Alger Club, has come to the defense of their star player and Algerian international, Youssef Belaili.
In a statement posted on his official Instagram account on Tuesday, Haj Rejem wrote: “Youssef Belaili is a talented Algerian youth in his field, and he has been the reason for thousands of Algerians to take to the streets to celebrate the achievements of the national team.”
Haj Rejem continued, emphasizing: “Youssef Belaili is human; he makes mistakes and he succeeds.
Yes, he needs advice and guidance like all Muslim sons, but he also needs protection and a conscious media that doesn’t judge unfairly.”
Concluding his message, Haj Rejem directed a note to the club’s disciplined player, who has faced penalties from the league: “The group awaits you to continue the journey together towards achieving Mouloudia’s goals.”
It’s worth noting that the Mouloudia management condemned the tense events witnessed during the recent match against ES Setif in the 19th round of the Professional League, which led to Belaili being sent off during the game.
Consequently, the league suspended the player for six matches.
