RS Berkane head coach
Chaabani believes experience and mental strength will be key when his side faces CS Constantine in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first leg on Sunday.Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Chaabani said these high-pressure encounters often come down to mindset and focus—qualities he has drilled into his players during preparations.
“I have experienced this type of match and I know what it requires from mental toughness and concentration and this is what we worked on throughout the preparations,” he said.
The Tunisian tactician stressed that while the first leg in Algeria sets the tone, the decisive moment will come in the return leg.
“We are ready and we are convinced that the summit will be decided by the small details for the team that is calmer,” he added.
“I don’t know what the starting scenario will be, but what I do know is that it will be decided in Algiers, not Berkane.”
Chaabani also praised Berkane’s loyal supporters, urging them to show up in numbers to boost the team’s chances.
