President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, has held a series of high-level meetings with leading executives of the organisation’s commercial partners as part of efforts to strengthen and expand African football’s global footprint.

The engagements brought together top figures from some of CAF’s long-standing partners, including Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange S.A., Yasser Shaker, Arthur Hoeld of Puma SE, and David Mignot from Canal+ Group.

CAF’s delegation included General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba alongside senior officials Hassan El Kamah and Luxolo September.

The discussions focused on reinforcing long-term commercial partnerships while identifying new growth opportunities for African football.

Key areas included enhancing broadcast and digital engagement, improving fan experience through innovation, and expanding the international reach of CAF competitions.

A major highlight of the meetings was the continued growth and promotion of the Africa Cup of Nations, which remains one of the most widely followed football tournaments globally.

Talks with Orange centered on advancing technology, connectivity, and fan engagement across Africa. Meanwhile, discussions with Puma explored avenues for football development, talent promotion, and brand activation.

Engagement with Canal+ focused on broadcast innovation and strengthening storytelling to elevate the visibility of African football across global audiences.

The meetings underline CAF’s commitment to building strong commercial foundations to drive the next phase of growth for the African game.
