Mostafa Shobeir has confirmed receiving interest from Spanish side Valencia but made it clear that any potential move hinges entirely on Al Ahly’s decision.
The young goalkeeper underlined that while regular playing time is important to him, he won’t push for a transfer without the club’s approval.
“Al-Ahly Club is the one who determines the best decision, in the best interest of the club first and then my future. In the end, there will be no disagreement on the details.”
Looking ahead, Shobeir expressed excitement about the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S., noting the tournament’s new format and stronger global competition.
“We have faced international clubs in the past editions and we have more experience. The team includes distinctive and experienced elements such as Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, who participated in the World Cup with the Egyptian team.”
On squad dynamics, he spoke of how big stars can clash, referencing PSG, but praised Barcelona’s success with Messi, Neymar, and Suarez.
Shobeir added that having a strong team system helps maintain balance and credited Mohamed Salah for shaping Arab footballers’ mentality.
