Mostafa El Aash has completed a permanent move from Zed to Al Ahly after impressing during a six-month loan.
The young defender proved his worth in Al Ahly’s backline, prompting the club to seal the deal as they rebuild after Ramy Rabia’s exit.
Initial reports suggested a 75 million EGP fee for El Aash, but an Al Ahly insider told Kooora the amount was far less.
“The figures about the amount we paid are incorrect, the value of the deal is 40 million pounds, it is paid in installments,” the source revealed.
The source added that strong ties between the clubs helped smooth the process. “The relations with Z are very strong, and we have a lot of work with his officials.”
In an added gesture, Zed reportedly waived the 20 million EGP loan fee.
“The value of the loan is about 20 million pounds, which was not paid by Al Ahly, because it was a gift from Z officials to the Red Fort,” the source continued.
Zed could also benefit from future player deals.
