Morocco’s U17 national team secured victory in the Antalya Youth Cup 2025, defeating Slovakia 3-1 in the final match on Friday to claim the tournament title in Turkey.
The Atlas Lion Cubs delivered a commanding performance, with goals from Ali El Filali in the 5th minute, Moncef Mohamed in the 27th, and Ismael Ziani in the 53rd, sealing a well-earned triumph.
Strong finish after early setback
Nabil Baha’s side faced a challenging start to the tournament, suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat against the Czech Republic in their opening match.
However, they bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Uzbekistan before their decisive win against Slovakia.
Morocco finished at the top of the standings with six points, ahead of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, who both ended with four points.
Uzbekistan, with three points, finished in fourth place.
This victory marks an important achievement for the young Moroccan side as they continue their development on the international stage.
