Morocco’s Azzedine Ounahi ranks among La Liga’s best dribblers alongside Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal

Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi has made a striking impression in La Liga this season, ranking third on the list of the league’s most successful dribblers, behind Lamine Yamal of Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid.

According to statistics from SofaScore, the Girona midfielder averages 2.6 successful dribbles per game with a 54 per cent success rate, the same as Mbappe, highlighting his technical ability and his knack for breaking through defensive lines.

His performances have cemented his role as one of Girona’s most influential players and one of the standout Moroccan talents in European football.

Ounahi’s impact was particularly evident in Girona’s 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the 28th round of the league, where he scored one of the goals and showcased his ability to dominate the midfield.

Speaking after the match, Girona coach Michel Gonzalez praised Ounahi’s intelligence on the field, highlighting his timing, vision, and speed.

“He knows how to exploit spaces effectively and delivers passes at the right moment,” Gonzalez said, adding that Ounahi still has room to further enhance his physical consistency and overall performance.
