Morocco unveil 2026 World Cup kits in emotional team surprise
With less than three months remaining before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Morocco’s national team received a special boost during a training session in Rabat after global sportswear giant PUMA presented the squad with their official home and away jerseys for the tournament in the United States.
Captain Achraf Hakimi led the group, which also includes key players such as Yassine Bounou and Brahim Diaz, as they got an early look at the kits before stepping onto the pitch.
The gesture was designed to deepen the players’ emotional connection to the tournament while heightening anticipation.
Moroccan defender Samir El Moubaret described the national jersey as a powerful symbol of identity, noting that it “represents the country really well.”
He also reflected on the pride of his first call-up to the squad, highlighting the warm reception from teammates and staff.
Looking ahead, he described World Cup participation as “a dream,” while expressing the team’s ambition to “go as far as possible.”
The new kits draw inspiration from Morocco’s rich cultural heritage, combining tradition with a modern design approach.
The home jersey features a deep red base with green accents, complemented by detailed elements on the collar and sleeves.
The away kit, in contrast, comes in a clean white design, adorned with subtle geometric patterns influenced by Moroccan tilework and architecture.
Earlier, PUMA unveiled its full range of 11 national team kits at a global launch event in New York’s Domino Square, where football, music and culture came together in a vibrant showcase.
Morocco’s new home and away jerseys were among the highlights of the event, reflecting the brand’s broader push to blend sport with lifestyle and creativity.
At the tournament, Morocco will compete in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland and Haiti, as they prepare for another opportunity to make their mark on the world stage.
