Morocco U-23 team to play Saudi Arabia and Côte d’Ivoire in friendlies
The Morocco U-23 National Team is set to play two international friendly matches later this month as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.
The North African side will first take on Saudi Arabia U-23 National Team on March 26 before facing Côte d’Ivoire U-23 National Team on March 31.
Both encounters are expected to offer the Moroccan technical team an opportunity to assess the squad and fine-tune tactics.
All matches will be staged at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, the country’s state-of-the-art national training facility which regularly hosts the Atlas Lions’ youth teams and preparation camps.
The friendlies form part of Morocco’s ongoing efforts to keep the Under-23 side competitive on the international stage by testing the team against strong opposition from different football regions.
Saudi Arabia represents a formidable challenge from Asian football, while Côte d’Ivoire will provide a physical and technically demanding contest from the African continent.
The matches are also expected to give the coaching staff a chance to evaluate emerging talents and build cohesion within the squad as the team continues its development cycle.
