Morocco to host Bahrain in a friendly on October 9
Morocco’s national team, the Atlas Lions, will face Bahrain in an international friendly on October 9 in Rabat, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has announced.
The match, set for the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, is part of Morocco’s build-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in December.
Following that fixture, Walid Regragui’s side will return to the same venue on October 13 to play Congo Brazzaville in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Both encounters are expected to give the players valuable familiarity with the stadium’s playing surface and atmosphere.
Morocco, already qualified for the World Cup to be staged across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, continue to impress on the global stage.
The Atlas Lions recently climbed to 11th place in the FIFA world rankings, surpassing Germany and maintaining their status as Africa and the Arab world’s top-ranked side.
