The Moroccan Football Federation officially announced yesterday, Monday, the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco during the summer, in a statement released by the Moroccan Federation to renew confidence in Walid Regragui, the current head coach of the Moroccan national team.
According to Moroccan newspaper “Hespress,” “The Royal Moroccan Football Federation stated that the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Morocco will take place during the summer.”
The announcement came as part of a statement from the federation on Monday, on the occasion of the re-election of Fouzi Lekjaa, expressing confidence in the national selector Walid Regragui as the head of the technical staff of the Atlas Lions.
The Moroccan Football Federation, in its statement, confirms the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in the summer, as previously affirmed by Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Moroccan Federation, in earlier press statements.
Morocco won the bid to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations last September after presenting six high-quality stadiums with the necessary infrastructure and specifications required by CAF to host the continental event.
The Africa Cup of Nations 2025 tournament will be held in Morocco across several stadiums, including the Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat (with 66,000 seats), the Tangier Stadium (88,000 seats), the Agadir Stadium (66,000 seats), the Marrakech Stadium (55,000 seats), the Mohammed V Stadium (55,000 seats), and the Fez Grand Stadium (66,000 seats), all equipped with VAR facilities.
