Paris Saint Germain will have to battle for points without influential Morocco international Achraf Hakimi in the French Ligue 1.
The French giants has decided to rest the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star for the weekend fixture. However, Hakimi will not make the trip to the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard to face Saint-Étienne on Saturday.
Hakimi is expected to resume training on Sunday following a late arrival after the March international break.
He recently returned to France after international duties where Morocco played Niger on March 21 followed by Tanzania clash on March 25.
The enterprising right-back played full throttle of the match Morocco I the fifth round of the qualifier before missing the sixth round game due to suspension.
Aside Hakimi, PSG is expected to miss the services of third-choice goalkeeper Arnau Tenas and creative midfielder Lee Kang-in, who are both recovering from injuries. Lee suffered a sprained ankle during South Korea’s 1-1 draw with Oman and will remain in treatment for the next few days.
Hakimi has been outstanding this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 11 assists from 37 matches across competitions.
