A source close to the Moroccan national team has revealed the anticipated date for finalizing the integration of Real Madrid’s star into the squad under the helm of coach Walid Regragui.
The Atlas Lions are gearing up for their March training camp, expected to witness significant changes following their disappointment in the recent African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where they exited in the round of 16.
During the upcoming camp, the Moroccan team will engage in two friendly matches against Angola and Mauritania, seeking to recalibrate and prepare for future competitions.
Speaking to Koora website on Wednesday, the source confirmed that Diaz’s dossier would be officially settled “within the next two days,” paving the way for his participation in the forthcoming camp.
Moreover, it was disclosed that “Diaz will be assigned the coveted number 10 jersey in the Moroccan national team upon his arrival,” indicating the pivotal role he’s expected to play in the team’s upcoming endeavors.
