Morocco set for June friendlies against Madagascar and Norway ahead of 2026 World Cup Campaign
Morocco will step up their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a series of international friendlies in June, as the Atlas Lions fine-tune their squad ahead of the global showpiece.
The Moroccan Football Federation has lined up a warm-up fixture against Madagascar’s national team, the Barea, to be played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The exact date and kickoff time are yet to be confirmed. The announcement was officially made by the Malagasy Football Federation.
Following the encounter with Madagascar, Morocco will travel to the United States to take on Norway on June 7 at 7:00 PM GMT.
The match will be staged at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, offering Walid Regragui’s side a high-level test against European opposition.
The friendly schedule forms part of Morocco’s broader preparations for their Group C campaign at the 2026 World Cup, where they will open their tournament against five-time champions Brazil on June 13.
For Madagascar, the fixture against Morocco is also part of their build-up, with the Barea set to face Uganda in another friendly in Marrakech after their clash with the Atlas Lions.
