Promising player Elias Bennani, a striker for the Genk team under 15 years old, has decided to choose the Moroccan national team over the Belgian national team.
Despite pressures from the Belgian Football Federation on the player’s family to include him in the Belgian national team, the Moroccan striker has opted to represent his homeland, Morocco.
Bennani, aged 12, posted a photo of himself wearing the Moroccan national team jersey on his Instagram account, announcing his joining of the Atlas Lions.
The young player will join the under-15 national team during their camp scheduled for this March.
