CAF Women

“Barlamane Sport” has reported that Morocco has shortlisted potential stadiums to host the Women’s CAF Champions League, scheduled to take place from November 9 to November 23.

The selection of venues is a key part of the preparations as the nation gears up to welcome the best women’s club teams from across the African continent.

Among the top candidates are three primary stadiums: the Municipal Stadium in El Jadida, the Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, and the Municipal Stadium in Berrechid.

Additionally, two other stadiums—Stade d’Honneur in Oujda and the Municipal Stadium in Berkane—are also being considered as potential hosts for the tournament.

Representing Moroccan football in this year’s edition will be AS FAR (Royal Army Club), the reigning champions of the Moroccan Women’s League.

AS FAR has been placed in Group A, where they will face a competitive lineup of teams, including TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Medina’s Eagles from Senegal, and Western Cape from South Africa.

The anticipation around the tournament is building, as Morocco prepares to showcase its facilities and organizational capabilities.

This event is seen as a significant opportunity to highlight the growth of women’s football on the continent, with the selected venues expected to play a crucial role in delivering a successful and memorable tournament.
