The Refereeing Directorate affiliated with the Professional League has acknowledged the errors committed by international referee Samir Kazzaz in the match where Ittihad Tanger lost to Nahdat Berkane by one goal to nil, in the 17th round of the professional league.
Suleiman Al Barhami, the head of the Refereeing Directorate, stated that referee Samir Kazzaz made several mistakes in the mentioned match by not awarding a penalty kick to the Ittihad Tanger team in the 32nd minute, after Nahdat Berkane’s player Adel Tahif handled the ball with his hand, preventing it from crossing the goal line.
Al Barhami added that the correct decision should have been to award a penalty kick and send off the defender.
Furthermore, Al Barhami elaborated that Kazzaz disallowed a legitimate goal for Nahdat Berkane by canceling it and awarding a foul in favor of Ittihad Tanger’s goalkeeper.
The goal, according to Al Barhami, was legitimate.
