Olympic Safi delivered one of the biggest surprises of Matchday 9 in the Moroccan Botola Pro, claiming a narrow but crucial 1-0 victory over fifth-placed Hassania Agadir on Friday.
Despite sitting at the bottom of the table heading into the match, Safi pulled off a much-needed win thanks to a 43rd-minute goal from Saïd Aït Khourssa. The goal, just before halftime, proved decisive, as Hassania failed to find a way back into the match.
This victory marks only Olympic Safi’s second win in nine games this season. With the three points, they leap off the foot of the table, climbing to second-to-last place with 8 points.
