Mustapha Hadji is reportedly in line to become the next Technical Director of National Teams, according to Abdellah Akram, a candidate for the presidency of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. As part of his election campaign, Akram is emphasizing the inclusion of Hadji in his plans, aiming to leverage the former Lion’s project to uplift the image of Moroccan football.
Mustapha Hadji, who was born in Morocco and later moved to France at the age of eleven, commenced his professional career with AS Nancy-Lorraine in 1992. His early talent earned him recognition from the French youth team’s coach, but Hadji opted to represent Morocco instead. He made his debut for the Moroccan national team in October 1993, participating in the 1994 World Cup with the Atlas Lions. Hadji continued to contribute to the national team until his final match in 2002 against Mali.
If appointed as the Technical Director of National Teams, Mustapha Hadji would bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, potentially contributing to the development and enhancement of Moroccan football.
