Morocco launches National Football Training Fund to develop young talents
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), in collaboration with the OCP Group and private partners, has launched a significant initiative aimed at revolutionizing football training in Morocco.
Announced on August 13, 2024, the creation of a National Football Training Fund marks a decisive step toward professionalizing training centres and promoting young football talents across the country.
This initiative aligns with the royal directives advocating for “efficient and transparent governance, and investment in infrastructure as much as in human capital.”
The strategic partnership pools the expertise and resources of the FRMF, OCP Group, and other stakeholders to strengthen training centres nationwide.
The Fund’s objective is to provide modern infrastructure, effective facility management, and advanced technical expertise to ensure the professional development of young players.
The National Training Fund is designed with a sustainable business model, focusing on the training of high-level players who can be integrated into professional clubs.
Managed by a specialized SA under the technical supervision of the National Technical Directorate of the FRMF, the Fund aims to foster a new standard of excellence in football training in Morocco.
The project also emphasizes social inclusion, cohesion, and the well-being of young people, underlining the role of sport in youth development and the broader societal impact of football in Morocco.
