Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have secured a contract extension with their Moroccan goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou.
Bounou, who joined Al-Hilal from Sevilla in the summer of 2023 on a three-year deal, was set to see his contract expire at the end of the upcoming season.
However, according to Saudi outlet Al-Youm, the club and the goalkeeper have agreed to extend his stay for an additional two years, keeping him at the Riyadh-based club until 2028.
The Moroccan shot-stopper was instrumental in Al-Hilal’s strong showing at the 2025 Club World Cup, playing a key role in the team’s progression to the quarter-finals.
Since his arrival, Bounou has featured in 92 games, conceding 85 goals and registering 36 clean sheets.
His impressive performances have helped Al-Hilal, also known as Al-Zaeem, claim four major trophies: the Roshen League, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, and two Saudi Super Cups.
